Cellnetrix became a full member of M2M Alliance, which
represents the
interests of the M2M industry by creating better general conditions for
attractive and lucrative M2M solutions through the constant interaction among
industry, R&D and policy makers. The M2M Alliance actively advocates for
the economic interests of its members, and promotes cooperation and the
exchange of experiences among the various sectors and companies.
This move strengthened the
commitment of the company to continue providing secure and highly flexible
embedded products for M2M industry and to improve cooperation with other
industry players and partners.
Cellnetrix puts at the moment a
strong focus on emerging technologies such as Embedded UICC and reprogrammable
USIMs, which enable secure provisioning of the profile and activation of
network subscriptions directly in mobiles devices without a conventional SIM
card. This technology eliminates the requirement for removable pre-personalized
SIM cards, which proved to be unreliable for the M2M applications.
A unique feature of Embedded UICC
product being developed by the company is a secure firmware update via OTA
without affecting downloaded operator profiles and mobile network access
functions. This technology can also be used for wireless sensors and other
smart devices.
Additionally Cellnetrix is working
on subscription management solution providing download, activation,
deactivation and secure deletion of the operator profiles. Fallback to a
default subscription ensures that connectivity to a device is not lost even if a
new subscription cannot be properly activated in the field.
